The only problem occurred after my meeting around 5:30pm when I tried to open up all the windows...Rick trying to prevent damage from the spectacular screens had hidden three of them away. So I turned on fans instead, only to have a horrid power failure...so no fans and few windows able to be opened in the night. No way could I open the windows without screens...the dang turkeys, I counted 14 this am, were roosting in the oaks, and I could just see one flying right into the loft!.
Power was restored sometime in the night as a couple of lights and two fans suddenly came on! Yikes.
Mike Henson of Mike's Cabinets, consulting with Greg in the new bathroom. A few changes were made giving me more cabinet space instead of more counter space. An idea that been roiling around in my head, and that Mike spotted right away as did Greg. Great minds and all that!
I certainly learned a lesson today about photographing electricians! Without thinking I shot this photo of Todd with my flash on, and boy did his hand fly back from the socket! Faster than the camera could catch! Lesson: warn a working electrician before using a flash! I felt like a real fool afterwards and promise to be more careful!
Mat is not actually writing on the desk, at least I don't think he is! I think he might be shining a light for Todd...lots of wiring issues up here.
First one at work on the scaffolding is Andres...pulling the window out of the loft. He says it isn't scary to up so high, but I shudder at the thought and won't be climbing up there any time soon. I had to move desks and computer away from the windows and had the charming job of cleaning probably 10 years of dust and other stuff out from behind the corner desk. Well, maybe five years. When we took the paintings down, we found lovely little nests on the back of the paintings and on the wall behind them. Obviously, paintings have to come down at least every six months. Making a note of that!
