At last the windows arrive! Even wrapped up, they are just beautiful. I can't wait to see them installed. But I shall go to tai chi tomorrow and come home to be surprised...delayed gratification.
As Mat and Rick take the tile off, they are throughly disgusted to find that the tile had been set directly on particle board. I love the looks on both their faces when I popped around the corner for this photo. At least it appears that we don't have to replace all the hall tile too. I told everyone, at the top of my lungs that I am not ready to replace the living room tile too. At least not at this point! Getting lots of ideas though.
Greg called me down to take a look! On my god, more dry rot, right at the front door. We will have to take the tile back a bit. Possibly I will have to call the tile place and add to the order we just placed for the dining room. The things that we are discovering...and as Greg says, he hates to be the bearer of bad news...trying to laugh it off in this photo...Certainly not his fault, but there it is!
The new front door is being framed in...what a thrill to have a wider opening!
OH what a day...many many acorns up in the roof...about 60 pounds! hope I can move the greenwaste bin after these are deposited there.

Oh my god! What a day and what a perfect sh** (maybe I should say #@) storm of stuff. Glad you are finding it and still here to deal with it, but...only one beer! I had one today and I only drove home from vacation. These wonders are at least worth a six pack! Love the door.
