DAY 36 & 37...Front door

TA DA, the new front door. And Fancy isn't the word for it. I managed to lock myself in for starters and somehow we managed to lock the retracting screen in place, but all was quickly resolved. The number of locks on this door is amazing, and all easily put into place.
Other stuff that got done today, dumpster back in place, sheeting going up on the roof, and the decision to start on the kitchen windows tomorrow...when I am gone. It is really going to be the most intrusive yet, so why not do it when I am not there to see. I will be on another celebration of my birthday at the Blue Wing...Hello Upper Lake!
All the windows and doors stored so Mat started to move the giant rack...looks good doesn't it? It took a pickup to move the dang thing!
Another view of the dining room...not quite ready for the windows, but soon soon soon. Trying to stay really positive about all the problems that pop up.

Whoo hoo! Some more progress was made today! Andres had much more help and the tile was cleared for the most part by noon. Of course more past shortcuts were found and some rebuilding has to be done, but I think no one is surprised by these problems anymore.

  1. I have had the opportunity (?) to live in a house that was being remodeled as a child and remodeling a house in Greenville and you have by far outstripped any of the many inconveniences that came up with those experiences. It is true - it's harder to remodel that build. If I didn't believe it before, I really do now! Great pics, by the way. Loved the rose of yesterday and forgot to mention it. Oh, yeah, and the door! Wonderful.
