Day 8...I finally lost a post. So on the off chance that it might show up, I will make a short new one. Yesterday the roof finally came completely off. Just slats, no plywood...I think we will have plywood this time around with the metal over that.
Other items that were done yesterday, the washer and dryer were delivered, and temp. installed so I could do laundry. There was a problem with the circuit breakers, they don't make them anymore...they were older than the house! Yikes the short cuts some people used. Don't get me started on the trim around the doors, or what was under the trim when it was removed from all the windows.
Now the dining room just has two exterior walls and three windows, no roof at all. It is very very strange to stand in there. Next step will be the realignment of the roof and the new dining room roof. I am pretty confident that I won't have leaks there when this job is done.
