The house is very quiet today as no one came to work! Sort of a weird sensation after all the bustle of the past three days. I did know that one crew wouldn't be here, but didn't know that no one would arrive. Still, I am not complaining and neither are the cats or dogs. Not that it has been quiet or lonely down here. First Stuart came to hang the doors on a cabinet, take care of the monthly water chores, and cut up the limb that fell recently.
I should be a scheduler as just after Stuart pulled out of the driveway, Jeff from Joe Branum Trees came to have a look see. As a couple of the photos above show, there is an oak tree right up against the house which is not essential for shade, and is actually impinging on the house. That will be removed in the next couple of weeks...working on the day for that to be done.
And finally, last but certainly not least, Trent came for a look-see at all the work initiated based on all his drawings and ideas. In the final photo, he is showing me how much they screwed up when they tried to extend the room over the old porch in what is now the dining room. Ah, hopefully all the weird stuff we are finding will be fixed during this job.
