Today, despite of a lot of work by everyone, it seems like we came up short on all fronts. The enclosure is lacking the gate...so who knows who will show up tomorrow to finish it. The deck is almost to the edge, but can't go farther since the welding isn't done, and we also need to order more Ipe! Sheesh. It is all very disheartening.
On the plus side, Mike Boyce was able to drive in without hitting a single daffodil.
JR below, Dennis above as they try to maneuver the steel beam into place so Mike can weld it.
Almost there!
Truck, Angel, Miguel and Mike, JR and Dennis all working at once on different aspects of the project.
Rick with the beautiful lamps that he just finished today.
Can't wait until they are up. A real bright spot in a very cold, windy day, where nothing even got finished. And probably won't tomorrow either, so KOKO and I are taking off and leaving them to it. Very disappointing day. But maybe that is because I was up almost all night last night with the malfunctioning fire alarm...shit! I don't do well without sleep.
