Getting ready for a rainy day, we all do different things...I marked out as many of my emerging daffodils as I could spot, in the hopes that no one would step on them, and that they would become aware of them as they come up. I expect my first blooms on 2-14-12.
Danny is capping the parapets on the shed roof...he is having to tack it on using screws that will have to be replaced. I am not sure at all why we can't seem to get the proper screws when we need them so they are on hand. At this point we surely know how many more we will need...I would think. This is surely not Danny's fault as he seems very frustrated that they are not already in Kville to be picked up.
Jose and George in the meantime begin work on the handrail for the front steps. I love the showers of sparks as they do some grinding.
Tacking on the top section of the handrail. Makes progress seems so much more real. The sacks of cement out in the road beyond Jose, almost were left out uncovered, but Danny and Jose noticed them as they were leaving. Even though they were off the clock by then, they stopped and carted all of them down to the shed where they would be out of the rain...I was very thankful as I wouldn't have been able to carry them all, and trying to cover them securely in the wind and rain would have been a real challenge.
